The Visual Designer is responsible for creating compelling visual experiences — from early-stage wireframes to polished digital designs — while partnering closely with strategists, developers, and client-facing teams.
Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Visual Designer to join our agency’s creative team. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment and enjoys working across multiple brands, projects, and teams. You’ll be responsible for creating compelling visual experiences — from early-stage wireframes to polished digital designs — while partnering closely with strategists, developers, and client-facing teams.
What You’ll Do
- Design high-quality visual assets across digital channels, including websites, landing pages, and marketing materials
- Create wireframes, mockups, and design systems in Figma to support UX and web design initiatives
- Translate creative direction, brand guidelines, and strategic goals into effective visual solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account managers, strategists, developers, content managers, and fellow designers
- Present design concepts internally and, when needed, to clients with clarity and confidence
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-moving agency environment
- Contribute design perspective early in strategy and planning conversations
- Challenge assumptions when visual execution could undermine strategy
- Partner cross-functionally to solve problems, not just fulfill requests
- Maintain consistency and craftsmanship across all design deliverables
- Explore and experiments with new tools, techniques, and trends — including motion design (e.g., After Effects) when appropriate
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Graphic Communications, or a related field
- 4–5+ years of professional design experience, ideally within a creative or marketing agency
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of Figma, including wireframing, digital design, and website mockups
- Willingness to create scalable design systems and modular components that support ongoing design optimization across different clients and platforms
- Familiarity with designing for HubSpot CMS, including templates, modules, landing pages, and email layouts; understands how design decisions translate into real-world marketing execution within the platform
- A portfolio of work that demonstrates a solid understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, color, and layout
- Ability to take and apply creative direction while also working independently and proactively
- Experience working across multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
- Client-facing experience and/or strong presentation skills are a plus
- Exposure to or curiosity about motion design tools such as After Effects is a bonus
Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate

- Collaborative – Enjoys working as part of a team and values feedback, discussion, and shared problem-solving
- Self-Directed – Can manage their own work, make smart design decisions, and deliver without constant oversight
- Curious & Growth-Oriented – Actively learns emerging tools, platforms, and approaches that improve agency efficiency and client outcomes
- Detail-Oriented – Cares deeply about design quality, consistency, and execution
- Communicative – Able to clearly explain design rationale to teammates and clients alike; Shares learnings and contributes to team standards and best practices
- Adaptable & Impactful – Thrives in an agency setting where priorities evolve and timelines can move quickly; Helps the agency evolve how design is produced and scaled
