KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AGENCY LEADERSHIP 
  • Fosters the relationship between Creative and other areas of the agency (Client Services and Operations primarily) 
  • Works with Marketing to help develop plans, analyze results and identify opportunities
  • Ultimately ensures that all communications, for both Weidert Group and our clients, meets strict quality standards
  • Anticipates issues that could affect people, processes or products
  • Focuses on improving company (and client) results through department process improvements, improvements in the quality of what we produce, and through new product ideas
  • Models and fosters a work environment that supports the agency’s Culture Code
  • Participates as a key member of the Executive Leadership team. Although overseeing and responsible for Creative Services, this position is a leader of the agency, too
CREATIVE SERVICES LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT
  • Supervises and continually develops the skills of Creative Directors for Design, Content, Video and Web 
  • Develops bench strength throughout entire Creative Services team
  • Develops and oversees our approach to strategizing creative product, and of its execution
  • Looks for opportunities to improve quality of our work, our processes and our relationships
  • Ensures team alignment with department and agency standards regarding production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
  • Effectively resolves department/operational problems and uses them as an opportunity to build strong relationships among people/departments
  • Educates the Creative team by identifying training/education opportunities that could provide value to the agency and clients
  • Oversees hiring and training needs for Creative Services
CLIENT RESULTS
  • Oversees and participates in client pitches and proposals
  • Presents strategies, concepts and solutions to client 
  • Demonstrates professional business skills that drive client results such as negotiation and project management
  • Continually looks for opportunities to introduce new products (new types of content) to our clients

  • A CREATIVE STRATEGIST & STANDARD SETTER: Establishes smart, actionable strategies for client branding, website development and content, with the help of Creative Directors; formalizes and works to continually improve Creative department processes and outputs (Branding Guidelines, Mood Boards, etc.) so that they deliver value to clients and so that they’re understood and embraced by the Creative team
  • A PROBLEM SOLVER: Someone who thinks critically, with the ability to make sound judgment calls when it comes to issues, whether those are people-related or product/process-related. This person is decisive and skilled at delegating appropriately, holding team members accountable, and at prioritizing work and issues
  • A STRONG COMMUNICATOR: An excellent communicator (both verbal and written) capable of persuading, compelling, uplifting, inspiring, motivating and educating a team; thinks on their feet and speaks with confidence; engaged in client relationships and those within the agency with the goal of developing genuine trust and respect, for themself and the agency. Good comfort level interacting with high-profile clients and industry professionals
  •  AN INNOVATOR: Works to ensure the organization is providing a cutting-edge client experience by helping researching and developing new product (content) ideas that benefit our clients
  • ACCOUNTABLE: The right candidate holds themself accountable for their actions and decisions, as well as the actions and decisions of those who report to them
  • AN INITIATOR: Someone who has a bias for action, a “get-it-done” attitude, is detail-oriented, and possesses good multitasking and organizational abilities to drive projects and initiatives forward

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

  • A BA/BS or advanced degree in a relevant field
  • 8+ of experience leading and developing a team
  • Experience in developing creative deliverables: web, content, design, and video
  • A high level of proficiency in copy, design, web and multimedia software and applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite
