"I’m not weird, I’m a limited edition!"

There are more than a billion sites on the web today. In 1995 there were roughly 23,500, and Brent built one of them, two years before Apple had a site of its own. He’s been building for the web longer than most of the platforms Weidert Group works in have existed.

As Director of Design and Technology, Brent oversees the intersection of how Weidert’s work looks and how it functions. That includes web development, design systems, and the technical architecture decisions that determine whether a site still performs three years after launch. His range across both disciplines is unusual: most people are strong in one and conversant in the other.

What that longevity buys clients is perspective on which changes matter. Brent has watched enough platform shifts to distinguish a real one from a trend, which is a useful thing to have in the room when a manufacturer is deciding what to build.

He is also, by unanimous internal agreement, as much fun as he is talented.
