12 Days of Christmas CTAsOn the third day of inbound...

Our tree is starting to fill up; so far, we have 1 fabulous website and 2 blogs each week. Today, we added 3 CTAs!

What’s a CTA? A CTA is a call-to-action. It’s a visual message that entices your prospects to act – to give you their contact information in exchange for more of your content. It’s like giving and getting at the same time – very holiday spirit, don’t you think?

We recommend three CTAs at a time to cover each of the stages of the funnel your prospects and leads may be in.

  • Top of the Funnel: If they were on your Christmas list, they’d be the group that might fall into your office secret Santa. They probably know who you are but don’t know a lot about you. These prospects are just starting to consider a solution and searching for some basic information.  The best content to offer these people are simple, top-level pieces like tips sheets, checklists, and FAQs.
  • Middle of the Funnel: Think of these leads as new friends. They know about you, are interested in what you have to say and are cool with you talking about yourself a bit. Content for this group should be more in-depth, provide useful/educational guidance and demonstrate why your company is a good solution to their challenges. Good examples are ebooks, webinars or instructional videos.
  • Bottom of the Funnel: These folks are fun. They know you well, are comfortable with your strengths and weaknesses and think you’re right for them. They “get” you and are ready to commit – they might just need a little extra push. CTAs for this group should be that little push. Consider demos, free trials, discounts, or free analysis/reviews.

Since it's Day 3, you get a middle of the funnel offer! Check out our free ebook: Guide to Inbound Marketing for Manufacturing Companies.
