We’ve been talking a lot about Inbound Marketing, the importance of getting found online and implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices to increase business leads and ultimately gain more customers. To demonstrate just how powerful implementing basic SEO practices can be, we pulled statistics on a recent SEO project we executed for one of our clients.

Here’s a little background: The client’s site was a bit outdated and had none of the SEO basics in place – no keywords, no descriptions, generic page titles, etc. We started with keyword research and created a new site architecture that siloed the content to create easy paths for search engine crawlers to navigate. We then optimized the entire site, incorporating keyword-rich meta descriptions, page titles, alt tags, header tags and updated the actual page content. We just ran a comparison of the site’s original performance and the results are amazing – we even surprised ourselves! The table below outlines some of the results.

This is just one impressive example of the power of SEO. But, the question becomes what do you do with visitors once they hit your site? That’s where Inbound Marketing demonstrates its incredible value. Weidert Group has seen the affect it’s had on business first hand – but that’s a blog for another day…
